2008-2009 Senior Year

During Matt’s Senior year he started all 11 games at Full Back and Nose Guard.  He was a centerpiece in one of the Dulles District’s most explosive offenses.  The Panther offense accounted for over 5900 total yards and 54 touchdowns.  His quarterback had 1884 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, 598 rushing yards, 4 touchdowns.  Behind Matt’s great blocking, his tailbacks rushed for 2100 total yards and 15 touchdowns. The Potomac Fall Panthers qualified for the post season for the first time in school history, making it to the Region II finals.

Matt played 7 games his Junior Year.  He sustained a cut to his hand during a play, which required him to sit out for 4 games.  Despite this, Matt went on to receive a Varsity letter for his outstanding play.

Scouting Evaluation

• Matt is a very aggressive and hardnosed player.  In an offense that showcased three very explosive and dynamic players, Matt excelled in his role as lead blocker. He will be a great asset to any program because he brings grit, edginess, and toughness to an offense back field.
